The Machinery Mile hosts a range of equipment from engines to earthmoving machinery. A wonderful display of machinery, some of it very rare and almost all collected within 100 miles of the town, can be seen along the main road. The display is free of charge, however donations are welcome via the donation box.
There are a number of machine guns and weapons from all over the world. Bombs, grenades, pistols, ammo, German rifles, leave and enlistment documents, letters, badges, bullets, tobacco tins and more, all relating to the war.
A very special attraction is Langenbaker House, a teamster's cottage that was one of the first homes in Ilfracombe. What makes it totally fascinating is that the home was owned by one family for a century and inside hardly a stick of furniture has been moved since 1920. It was one of the first homes in Ilfracombe and was the residence of Harry and Mary-Ann Langenbaker and their 11 children.
The Wellshot Centre tells the story of one of Australia's greatest sheep stations, Wellshot Station. An interesting place to visit as it traces the history and development of the station from its early settlement, how it was formed and how people lived and worked there. Wellshot Station gained a world record in 1892 for shearing the largest number of sheep off the same property in one season!
Located in the former St Johns Anglican Church, you will find genuine antique, vintage and collectable jewellery and a wide range of pottery, glass and unique items from days gone by. Our aim is to provide unique items at affordable prices.

Located 20 km south of Ilfracombe heading towards Isisford, you will go past Stockyard Creek and 12 Mile is on the left. Turn at the 12 mile sign, then drive the 100 metres to behind the dam. You will find shaded picnic tables, plenty of parking and camping grounds. Self guided maps are available from the Wellshot Information Centre to help you explore this incredible formation.
A beautiful old tongue and groove building housing Australia Post, Library, Gift Shop and Second Hand Clothing store. This unique building celebrated in April 2010 the Post Office centenary of the first motor mail delivery in the Commonwealth of Australia, which took place between Ilfracombe and Isisford.
Ilfracombe Garden Nursery has the largest selection of plants in the district. They also stock Glazed and Terracotta Pots, Wall Art, Garden Furniture and seedlings. They are open from 8.30 am to 5.00pm every Sat and Sun and any Public Holidays
